Getting Started
Form a Stake Emergency Response Council – The purpose of this council is to prepare a Stake Emergency Response and Operations Plan, support Wards with their local plans and implement this plan during an emergency.
This Stake Council consists of:
- A member of the Stake Presidency, who presides over the Council
- High Counselors over Emergency Response, Preparedness, and Communication (Public Affairs)
- The Stake Emergency Response (ERS) Specialist and an Assistant
- The Stake Emergency Communications Specialist (ECS) who is HAM Radio Licensed and an Assistant
- Stake Communication Council representative
- Provident Living Specialist
- Representatives from each Stake Auxiliary presidency

This section is for Bishops, their Counselors, and Emergency Response Councils.

Form a Ward Emergency Response Council – The purpose of this Council is to prepare a Ward Emergency Response Plan and help implement this plan during an emergency.
This Council should consist of the:
- Bishopric member over Emergency Preparedness & Response
- Ward Emergency Preparedness Specialist
- Ward Emergency Response Specialist (ERS) and Assistant
- Emergency Comm Specialist (ECS) and Assistant,
- A member of each Ward Auxiliary presidency
- Ward Provident Living Specialist
- Ward Communication (Public Affairs) Specialist

- Help us serve you during an emergency by verifying your contact information. Use the Tools Application and/or check with your Ward Clerk.
- Prepare an Emergency Plan with your family.
- Actively participate in the Great California Shakeout on October 19-22, 2023
